OG Kush produces a mood elevating, heavy euphoria making it great for people looking to wash away stress. Its blend of 75% indica and 25% sativa brings a balance between physical and mental experience. It’s the ideal high for the overactive body and mind.

OG Kush Strain Origin

The strain has a lot of history – most of which is hard to prove. What we do know is that OG Kush comes from the infamous Chemdawg strain. There are other suggestions that it is also mixed with older native parent strains such as Hindu Kush and Old World Paki Kush. No matter where it came from one thing remains true – it’s incredibly popular on the west coast and in high demand no matter where you go!

Growing OG Kush Feminized Seeds

These are feminized seeds. Female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e. in the Fall or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors.

Preferred Climate

If you live in a hot or tropical climate, then this is for you! If you aren’t, then this makes a great indoor plant. Outdoors in a less than ideal environment quickly leads to disease issues, bugs, or powdery mildew. Our marijuana plant protector can help with that but ideally, this plant prefers a bit more warmth.

Flowering & Yield

When growing this strain, expect short and compact plants (19-37 inches). It’s one of our popular small weed plants. Most growers will receive an average-sized yield in a short flowering period. If you do plan to grow indoors, make sure to have a controlled micro-climate. This isn’t the easiest strain to grow. If grown correctly it can yield about 17 ounces of usable cannabis per square meter with an average 8-9-week flowering time.

If growing outdoors, you’ll get a similar yield and find your plant ready for harvest in October.

Experiencing The OG Kush Strain

Are you looking for full-bodied, hard-hitting cannabis known the world over for producing powerful euphoria? Then OG Kush is for you! This strain produces a deeply relaxing, nearly sedative effect in users that slowly dilutes into a mix of joy, happiness, and uplifting euphoria.

If you want to take a trip without leaving your couch, OG Kush is for you. It’s also perfect for unwinding. After a long day, there’s nothing better than getting comfy, grabbing some snacks, and letting the euphoria take you away. It also enhances the flavor of your foods making you a munchie machine!

Possible Reactions:

OG Kush has a fairly high level of THC (19%) making it extremely strong. Surprisingly though the side effects are very mild. If too much is consumed, you’ll get your basic dry mouth and dry eyes. Keep a water bottle nearby, and it won’t be a problem! Some users mention that multiple uses lead to a sense of lethargy and dizziness. If you are a first-timer, you might get this and a bit of paranoia-but experienced smokers shouldn’t worry.

OG Kush Taste & Smell

This is one of those strains that start off smelling earthy and then transition to a surprisingly bright citrus punch filled with whiffs of lemon. When growing you’ll pick up a blend of pine forest and sour lemon scents-it’s surprising the first time you smell it, trust us!

As far as taste, if you like fresh lemons, char from the grill, and refreshing woody flavors, then you’ll love the spiced herbal goodness of this strain!

Uses for OG Kush

The moderate potential THC levels (19%) in this strain makes it a great candidate for therapeutic use. Whether you need a mood booster, nerve soother, or something to dull the pain, OG Kush can deliver. It also helps with appetite-related issues. So, if your chemo or nausea are keeping you from eating – a few puffs could bring that appetite back.

Whether it’s serious help with relaxation or relief from a nagging headache, this Indica-dominant could be just what you needed.
